Each year, Donate Life America enters a float in the Rose Bowl Parade. This years float was entitled “The Never Ending Story”. Each year the float honors organ donors, organ recipients and their families.
A few organ donors are chosen each year and featured on the float with floralgraphs. Jacob Krebs from Fredericksburg, TX was one of those featured this year. Jacob was 18 years old when he died in a drowning accident.
Jacob has helped multiple recipients ages 15 -81. Jacob’s mom, Mary is a volunteer with The Ultimate Gift of Life Foundation and shares the story of how her time of loss was turned into a time of hope.
Do you have a loved one that saved lives through organ donation? Do you have a loved one whose life was saved or improved because of someone’s decision to be an organ donor? If so, please let us help you keep their memories and stories of hope alive by sharing your story with us.
Sharing your story will also help to educate others about how they can save the lives of up to 8 people and improve the quality of life for as many as 50 others.
Our mission is to help raise awareness about the amazing benefits of organ donation and increasing the number of individuals who register to give the Ultimate Gift of Life. We do this by speaking to various organizations and participating in community events.
We are always looking for new places to speak and for volunteers to help us. Please contact us with your stories, suggestions on new venues or to volunteer.
